Winter Break Travels

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Now that we are well into December and well into the frigid cold temperatures, it is a good time to think about places to go for the holiday season. I would personally suggest going someplace warm - or at least somewhere that has a more moderate climate.

There are many benefits to visiting a warm locale over the winter break. Some such benefits are outlined below.

1. Health

Generally speaking, you are less likely to get sick when you are in a warmer climate, since your immune system will be stronger.

2. Happiness

One word - sunshine.

3. The Tan

It’s been awhile since your skin has received serious attention from the sun, and it’s a long wait until the summer months.

4. Scenery

Get a change of scenery! Snow, slush, and dirty roads (and cars) is not the best view around.

5. Clothing

Give the shorts and t-shirts out of your closet and aired out!

Amsterdam

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Sure, the Netherlands (also known as "Holland") can seem a bit foreign to westerners - especially Americans, but thankfully there are a plethora of American Amsterdam hotels to choose from. Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands, and also happens to be its most populated city.

Despite all the new suburban locations that have sprung up and sprawled from the inner city, Amsterdam’s main downtown core is still home to many visitors from around the world in luxury hotels Amsterdam . These 5-star hotels are well garnished with all the amenities that a business traveller would expect. Saunas, pools, exercise rooms, and fancy decor is just some examples of the luxury.

For those of you who are limited to a budget for your trip to the Netherlands’ capital, you will be glad to know that there are also many cheap Amsterdam hotels to choose from. These accommodations may not be as loaded, but that just leaves you with more time to explore the city and all the entertainment it has to offer!

Better Online Shopping

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

The great thing about shopping online is the convenience of not having to travel to the mall or store to get things, as some stores aren’t even local. Specialty items, such as car seats , might even require you to pull out the old phonebook! The holiday season also means worse driving conditions, whether it be snow, sleet, or hail. Combine the low visibility and extra human traffic at the mall (lineups), and a website like ShopWiki reigns supreme.

In fact, ShopWiki is much better shopping experience because it is able to find every online merchant since it crawls the Internet - similar to Google. This means many more products and services can be found, such as luggage or backpacks . Where some shopping sites only display products from particular sources - namely, those that have paid to be on the site, ShopWiki actually finds sources that did not pay, creating a much more comprehensive database.

At the time of this post, there are over 250 million products listed from places all around the world. My personal favorite category to look at is the Best Seller Electronic category, that has all the latest gadgets and toys that I could ever dream of.

Canadian Travel Guide

Monday, October 27th, 2008

For all those friendly Canucks out there, I have discovered a fresh new travel guide website just for you. This Canada Travel Guide aims to serve independent and adventurous travellers in planning their trip, with helpful guides, reviews, and of course, special deals. This website has copious amounts of exciting information and vibrant pictures!

No Canadian travel guide would be complete without an article about Toronto and CTG does not disappoint on this front either. Its Toronto article is complete with information about restaurants and the "distillery district," and hotels like the luxuriously historic Fairmont Royal York hotel.

But if the east coast / Ontario is not where you want to head, or perhaps you have already been there before, consider visiting some Vancouver Attractions on the west coast of Canada. Vancouver is well-known for its floral delights like the Bloedel Floral Conservatory, Hastings Park, Stanley park, and Chinese Gardens dedicated to the memory of Dr. Sen. Party-goers should definitely make a stop at Davie Street, the Grouse Grind, and River Rock Casino

First Class Air Travel

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Hey readers. A lot of the time, this blog focuses on the wonderful destinations around the world and the different things they all have to offer. We look at hotels, cruises, and tourist attractions in cities across the globe. But sometimes, the journey plays just as integral role in our vacation as the destination. That is, how we get there is equally as important to where we are going.

This brings us to private jet charter flights provided by V1 Jets. They specialize in private flights for those who like to travel luxuriously and in style. V1 Jets offers many choices in planes, including small to large jets and turbo prop jets. In fact, they also have 8 passenger sea planes for taking off and landing in bodies of water. How cool is that?

With all the increased security checkpoints and delays of normal commercial flights, private flights are being sought after more and more. It’s as good a time as any to start taking control of your travel times and leave and arrive on time as originally planned. Bypass the lengthy procedures, and never worry about whether you will get a window seat, whether you will be seated next to a crying baby, etc.

Slow Tourism

Bell is more memorable unexpected species is the plan. Slowly tourism programs that allow flexible travel, the more my potential. This is not helpful experience, typically a unique insight into the local culture as well as provide more accurate. Our time is ruled by speed, real-time interaction to do all things faster and faster: a high - speed Internet connection, a high - speed trains, fast food ….. This is due to stress, however, floods, disease al sueopneun 50 years ago, and today the majority of Third World countries.

Busy this panorama, and the slowness of the need for something stronger, something stronger, and more people will choose to slow down to spend quality leisure time to find a natural rhythm thing, listening, observing your little treasure out of the assault, the spirit of hard work I understand that the delicate balance and places people. Slowly philosophy and tourism mission, as a brand, the goal of promoting the tourism and other fields. They live in a place not travel freely consumption
