Better Online Shopping

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

The great thing about shopping online is the convenience of not having to travel to the mall or store to get things, as some stores aren’t even local. Specialty items, such as car seats , might even require you to pull out the old phonebook! The holiday season also means worse driving conditions, whether it be snow, sleet, or hail. Combine the low visibility and extra human traffic at the mall (lineups), and a website like ShopWiki reigns supreme.

In fact, ShopWiki is much better shopping experience because it is able to find every online merchant since it crawls the Internet - similar to Google. This means many more products and services can be found, such as luggage or backpacks . Where some shopping sites only display products from particular sources - namely, those that have paid to be on the site, ShopWiki actually finds sources that did not pay, creating a much more comprehensive database.

At the time of this post, there are over 250 million products listed from places all around the world. My personal favorite category to look at is the Best Seller Electronic category, that has all the latest gadgets and toys that I could ever dream of.

Canadian Travel Guide

Monday, October 27th, 2008

For all those friendly Canucks out there, I have discovered a fresh new travel guide website just for you. This Canada Travel Guide aims to serve independent and adventurous travellers in planning their trip, with helpful guides, reviews, and of course, special deals. This website has copious amounts of exciting information and vibrant pictures!

No Canadian travel guide would be complete without an article about Toronto and CTG does not disappoint on this front either. Its Toronto article is complete with information about restaurants and the "distillery district," and hotels like the luxuriously historic Fairmont Royal York hotel.

But if the east coast / Ontario is not where you want to head, or perhaps you have already been there before, consider visiting some Vancouver Attractions on the west coast of Canada. Vancouver is well-known for its floral delights like the Bloedel Floral Conservatory, Hastings Park, Stanley park, and Chinese Gardens dedicated to the memory of Dr. Sen. Party-goers should definitely make a stop at Davie Street, the Grouse Grind, and River Rock Casino
